Type Promotion Bookolet

The objective of this project is to choose a typeface and create an eight-spread booklet, with a story or narrative, to showcase and promote the typeface.

_challenge

My choice was Joanna from the designer Eric Gill. I like how this slab-serif type can be loud (when used in heavyweight) but also elegant at the same time. So I came up with the idea of "living a double life". With my further research, I surprisingly found out that Eric Gill himself was living a dark double life as well.
